El Gastor Hiking Route
Discover the breathtaking peaks of Tajo Algarín and Cima de las Grajas. A beautiful, panoramic hike right in the surroundings of our hacienda.
Insider tip: Walk the route clockwise so you finish with the section under the trees. When the Spanish sun starts getting hot, you'll get to enjoy the natural air conditioning of the forest at the very end! 🌲☀️
Route Highlights
1. Parking (Start)
The route starts just outside the village of El Gastor. Here you can easily park your car to start the climb.
View starting location2. Tajillo Viewpoint
A wonderful resting point with binoculars, offering a great view over the valley and the reservoir.
3. Tajo Algarín
The first real peak of this route. It offers spectacular 360-degree views over Andalusia.
4. Cima de las Grajas
The second peak. The hike along the ridge connects these two impressive limestone mountains.
5. Dolmen del Gigante
Descend to this historic megalithic tomb, a piece of ancient history.
